  • The platform aims to showcase Chile’s strengths internationally as an exporting nation and a destination for investment, innovation and business development.

The President of Chile, José Antonio Kast, presided over the launch of Choose Chile, an international positioning platform designed to boost the country’s image abroad and promote investment, technological development and economic growth opportunities.

Foreign Affairs Minister Francisco Pérez Mackenna and InvestChile’s Acting Director Juan Pablo Candia attended the event, along with government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and of the academic and scientific communities, representatives from trade associations and multinational companies.

Choose Chile was created to highlight Chile’s strengths as an exporting nation and as a destination for investment, innovation, business development and talent attraction.

A Country with export expertise

In his remarks, Foreign Minister Pérez Mackenna emphasized that “Choose Chile is intended to contribute to the country’s growth by strengthening its international standing: attracting investment, business, technology, talent and tourism, while fostering a more diversified, innovative and higher-value-added export portfolio.”

Minister Pérez Mackenna also highlighted Chile’s commercial strengths and its potential to expand the international presence of domestic products and services.

“Chile knows how to export and has a strong foundation on which to build: a robust production base, established standards and preferential access to 66 economies, many of which are represented at this launch event today,” he stated.

Testimony from a company that chose Chile

Camillo Scocco, General Manager of the Italian firm AgriChile Ferrero, shared his company’s experience in the country and highlighted the opportunities available.

“Why did we choose Chile? Ferrero made that decision more than 30 years ago. At that time, we saw conditions that were particularly attractive for developing a long-term project. We saw a country with robust institutions and legal certainty—two essential conditions for making investments whose results take decades to build,” he said.

The executive added that government support has been key to developing their projects.

“Over the years, we’ve found InvestChile to be a partner that accompanies our projects, facilitates coordination among various stakeholders and supports new investments that have allowed us to continue growing in the country. That public-private partnership also contributes to the conditions that make foreign investment in Chile sustainable over time,” he said.

Choose Chile Summit

One key announcement was the launch of the first Choose Chile Summit, scheduled for March 2027.

The event will bring together investors, technology companies and international stakeholders to gain firsthand insight into the country’s productive capabilities and investment opportunities.

Organized by ProChile and InvestChile, the event will feature a main session in Santiago with business meetings and bilateral discussions, plus visits to projects and companies outside Santiago and a program for international media.
