For the first time, InvestChile and the Ñuble Regional Government carried out a joint international promotion activity as part of cooperation agreements between the agency and regional governments.
The event took place at the Embassy of Chile in Rome during the Italy – Chile: Collaboration between countries with a regional focus roundtable, which was attended by the Regional Governor of Ñuble, Óscar Crisóstomo.
The activity was led from Chile by Gabriela Jorquera, Head of InvestChile’s Regional Network, together with Francisca Müller, InvestChile’s Investment Commissioner in Italy, who highlighted the Ñuble Region’s competitive advantages and investment potential.
Governor Crisóstomo emphasized the relevance of strategic sectors such as agroforestry, including packaging, critical infrastructure, agricultural technology, and winemaking, as well as opportunities in tourism and construction.
The session also featured contributions from Ennio Vivaldi, Chile’s Ambassador to Italy; Gustavo Moran, General Director and Founder of Integra Sur Norte; and María Josefina Mas, CEO and owner of Bloom Seeds SpA, who joined the governor in promoting the region.
In addition, prominent Italian representatives from the agrifood and industrial sectors were present, including:
Marco Loi, Chief of International Operations at Filiera Agricola Italiana (F.AGR.I.); Marcello Mariani, Senior Consultant at FIOCCOdiBOSCO Solutions; Raffaele M. Maiorano, expert in agricultural technology, Società AMPA; Vincenzo Lenucci, Head of the Economics Department and Research Center at agricultural association Confagricoltura; Gabriele Zanazzi, EU & International Relations at Confagricoltura; and Alejandra Godoy, from the Chilean Embassy in Rome.
During the event, InvestChile presented the Regional Investment Strategy, a roadmap designed to strengthen collaborative efforts with regional governments in attracting foreign direct investment.
The presentation highlighted the strategic focus with the Ñuble Regional Government to boost its key sectors and open new opportunities for international business.
This activity also coincided with the participation of a Ñuble Region delegation in the Italy–Latin America SME Forum on the Lazio Agrifood Supply Chain, organized by the Italo-Latin American Institute (IILA) in collaboration with Regione Lazio and the Regional Agency for the Development and Innovation of Agriculture in Lazio (ARSIAL), in areas such as wine and olive oil tourism, fruit and vegetable production, dairy, and floriculture.
