Chile’s Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, InvestChile, is commemorating a decade of work attracting, advising and supporting international companies that choose Chile as the destination for their investment projects.
During this period, the agency has consolidated its position as a regional leader, increasing the value of its investment portfolio more than sevenfold and establishing itself as the best investment promotion agency in South America.
The results speak for themselves. From 2017 to 2026, InvestChile saw 730% growth in the value of managed investments, rising from US$7.7 billion to over US$64 billion (based on preliminary figures for this year).
During the same period, the number of projects in the portfolio went from 199 to 460, and the associated potential jobs increased from 10,794 to more than 21,000.
InvestChile has been a pioneer in using digital marketing to attract investment.
Its use of digital techniques, content marketing and inbound marketing serves as a model in Latin America. It is one of the few success stories of its kind internationally.
By generating high-value content for investors and running more than 120 digital campaigns each year, InvestChile has added 186 new investment projects worth more than US$1.5 billion to its portfolio since 2018, when the agency began using digital marketing to attract investment.
The progress made during this period is remarkable. In 2018, digital campaigns secured eight projects, representing 4.4% of the total initiatives in InvestChile’s portfolio. By the end of last year, the number had risen to 19 projects, accounting for 21% of all initiatives supported by the agency.
InvestChile offers specialized services throughout every stage of the investment cycle, serving more than 700 companies each year.
Services are available from prospecting through support for companies already established in the country, including the pre-investment and landing stages.
The agency provides aftercare services, encouraging companies already operating in the country to reinvest.
In 2025, InvestChile organized more than 220 international investment promotion activities, including industry workshops, InvestChile Talks and roadshows across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.
This global presence reflects the agency’s commitment to connecting Chile with leading foreign direct investment source markets.
InvestChile currently has 58 employees—men and women—across five nationalities, with women making up 57% of the workforce. It is a technical agency modeled after an OECD framework.
As part of professionalization efforts, first- and second-tier management positions are filled through competitive selection processes for senior public management roles.
Currently, the institution has investment commissioners on three continents: Europe, North America and Asia.
